As a Nutritionist and Nutritional Therapist I am trained to understand how nutrients and other food components influence the function of the body, protect against disease, restore health and determine people’s response to changes in the environment. I believe that we can influence a body’s ability to heal itself through nutrition and lifestyle changes.
Nutritional Therapy can support a wide range of specific health conditions (e.g. high cholesterol, arthritis, hormonal conditions such as thyroid and menopause, IBS, eczema, asthma) as well as non-specific conditions (digestive problems, fatigue, coping with a busy lifestyle). In addition to supporting those with chronic conditions it is also an excellent tool to enhance general health and wellbeing, particularly with the advance of genetic testing.
I will never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and would always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional. I am also happy to work alongside medical professionals and other healthcare professionals involved in your care to explain any nutritional therapy programme that has been provided.
I offer a free 20 minute consultation to discuss whether nutritional therapy would be appropriate for you, either in person or by phone.
